Borussia Dortmund Reach Champions League Quarter-Finals With Win Over PSV Eindhoven

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus Secure Dortmund's Progression

Dortmund Advance to Last Eight for First Time in Three Years

Borussia Dortmund are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in three years thanks to a 2-0 win over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday. Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus scored the goals as Dortmund secured a comfortable victory at the Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund started the game brightly and took the lead after just nine minutes. Sancho picked up the ball on the left flank and drove into the PSV box. He then cut inside and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

PSV had a chance to equalize just before half-time, but Cody Gakpo's shot was saved by Gregor Kobel. Dortmund then doubled their lead in the second half when Reus headed home a cross from Marius Wolf.

PSV pushed for a goal in the closing stages, but Dortmund held on to secure their place in the last eight. It is the first time that Dortmund have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League since 2020.

Dortmund will now face either Manchester City or Arsenal in the quarter-finals. The first leg of the tie will be played on April 11, with the second leg taking place on April 18.
