Los Angeles, CA - Joe Bonsall, the Grammy-winning tenor of the country and gospel group the Oak Ridge Boys, has died at the age of 65. The singer passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2024, after a battle with a neuromuscular disorder.

Bonsall joined the Oak Ridge Boys in 1973 and quickly became known for his soaring vocals on hits such as "Elvira," "Fancy," and "Bobbie Sue." The group won two Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

In January 2024, Bonsall announced that he was leaving the Oak Ridge Boys due to health issues. He had been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder that affected his ability to perform.
